These can be used to reinforce new vocab or phrases in any language or subject – the children draw images of the new words or phrases they learned. They roll a dice and whatever they land on they must say the correct word or phrase before they can move on! You could introduce lifelines for these also.
For History: draw images of objects from the era you are learning about and the children name the objects when they land on them
For English/Gaeilge/Other language: draw images of the new word meanings and the children name them when they land on them
For Maths: write equations using methods you are learning about. The children must answer the sum that they land on before moving on
For Classroom Management: put a star on every few spaces and each time the class is well behaved, they move one step closer to the star (reward).

Includes 6 classroom hand gestures in English, Irish and mixed.
They also come in a cursive and an easy to read font option.
These hand gestures can be used to help manage classroom questions.
Have you ever been mid sentence and a child’s hand goes up and all they wanted was to go to the toilet? Yeah, I’ve been there!! I find these so handy for knowing what the children want and need. You can just nod your head or say “yes” to the children who want a drink or to go to the toilet, resulting in (hopefully!) less interruptions! :)
I’ve also made a hand gesture card for “random” or “unrelated” questions or queries because no one needs that distraction mid lesson! You can easily see the hand gesture and suggest that the child come and tell you their unrelated query at break time (assuming it’s not an emergency!).
Thank you for downloading!
